One of my greatest lessons in life came from my kids' dad. He is a mountain bike racer and extremely gifted at what he does. He taught me that your front wheel will always follow your eyes. So if you want to avoid the rock or the root or the muddy rut, keep your eyes trained and focused on the clear but narrow path of singletrack just ahead of you.
Life is just the same.... Don't focus on the fear or the hate or the lies or the so-called evil, instead focus on the clear but narrow path of your own heart and soul. This is Not Easy! Scary things and pain always seem to capture our attention. Yet when enough of us focus on the clear but narrow paths of our own hearts, we will find ourselves in a different place entirely. Hope will surround us.
